Planning For Baby 4 years ago Hi Priya, reading is skill acquired over the time by trying and repeating it frequently. Kids these days acquire the language skills early. The keep on adding to the vocabulary and remember the alphabet patterns and phonics. The average age for a child to read fluently in 6-7 years roughly during 2 nd grade. So keep on reading to him and cultivate the habit of reading from book instead of gadgets. One day he will be an ardent reader.
